ABOUT
STA-A-BIT SHETLAND SHEEPDOGS
Sta-A-Bit
Shetland Sheepdogs is a small hobby kennel located in Pompano Beach, Florida.
My first sheltie, Lorna's Good Gollie Miss Mollie, was acquired in 1990 and I quickly fell
in love with the breed.
I have been an
active member of the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Southeast Florida,
Inc. for many years. I currently serve as the club's secretary and
have in the past served as the club's president and on its board of
directors.
I enjoy
attending breed seminars that focus on studying and breeding a
correctly structured sheltie. In addition, I attend the annual
national show of the American Shetland Sheepdog Association.
As with all
conscientious breeders, my breeding adults have been tested for hip
dysplasia, vonWillabrand's disease, thyroid function, and eye
diseases.
If you are
searching for a puppy, do not hesitate to ask questions. You
should inquire whether the puppy's sire and dam have been checked for hip
dysplasia, vonWillabrand's disease, thyroid function, and eye
diseases. If they have not been tested and received proper
clearances, you should not purchase the puppy from that breeder.
Don't be hesitant to ask such questions! Reputable breeders
will have tested their breeding adults and will not be offended by
your questions.
I hope you
enjoy your visit to Sta-A-Bit Shetland Sheepdog's website!
